The Office Park ProposalEmployment Use: StMalo propose a B1 prestige office park at Dafarn Newydd, Penmynydd Road, Llangefni as the definative office location for companies in Anglesey. Dafarn Newydd comprises 59 acres with 10 acres put forward by StMalo to Anglesey Council in 2007 as a "candidate site" for employment use. In December 2007 Anglesey Council confirmed that proposal reference SY367 would be included in the Councils' deposit draft Local Development Plan(LDP) as a candidate site for employment in Llangefni. It is understood the deposit draft LDP will be published for public consultation (deposit) following the Councils' local elections in May 2008. Highway Strategy: StMalo first propsed to Anglesey Council a highway strategy for Llangefni in November 2005. The semi-orbital links from the industrial estate (off Glanhwfa Road and the A55) behind Peboc to Bryn Cefni then to Penmynydd Road and around the back of Coleg Menai to Talwrn Road, also linking to Benellech Road. In December 2007 Anglesey Council confirmed that it was looking include the "highway strategy for a semi-orbital" made by StMalo in the deposit draft LDP and the Council confirmed it would also seek to use compulsory purchase powers to achieve its aims to deliver the road project. Most of the road could be delivered without recourse to public finance as (in the case of StMalo) the road would be part of the office park development.
